Guest Picks: Type-Based Art Prints

I love bold and modern typography. Add black and white and a hint of clever into the mix, and I'm sold!

Let us turn up the beat! How could you not love this? It was love at first sight for me. I'd hang this print above my record player.

Here's another example of black-and-white goodness. I love the set of three prints, as they seem to make a bolder statement on the wall. Also, as a fan of Los Angeles and the central coast of California, these prints strike a chord with me.

I don't have kids yet, but this print is definitely going up in my future nugget's bedroom. How sweet is it? It just expresses more of my love for black and white and boldness. I hope my little one loves it as much as I do.

Simple and sweet — sometimes you need nothing more. This is a bedroom piece for sure. It's perfect for above the bed (or anywhere around the room for that matter) as a charming reminder.

I'm a proud owner of this Swedish alphabet print from Ikea. I have a red and black theme going on in the living room, and this just adds a fun pop of the color theme paired with some boldness. Now, how to use the Swedish alphabet is the question.

Here's another print set by designer and photographer Riikka Kantinkoski. I think these would great as photographed: in a group of four hung on the wall with washi tape or black frames. I'm always up for a little humor in my prints!

I'm not one to judge a man without wings, but I really love the composition of this print. I love the color matched with the brown frame as pictured. I'm also a fan of mixed typography and some white space, and this print has both of them. Score.

This print could either be for the kitchen-obsessed or for those who are clueless in the kitchen. I'd say I'm in between the two. I love this print for its typography and graphics. tI would be a great print to spruce up your cooking/baking space.

This print and saying resonates with me. It reminds me of the Pacific Northwest, which I love. And "We are seasons" is a saying that rings true; we are always changing and transitioning, and there is beauty to be found in every step of the way.
