Purple is a fascinating color because it is the coming together of the spectrum's two extremes: red, a fiery and stimulating hue, and blue, which is serene and calming. For that reason, I think purple is a color choice that offers perfect balance, but it can be a challenge to find just the right tone that works. Some people think that lighter lavenders are juvenile, and some of the midtones can be too vibrant. A great solution may be to go dark and look to the plums and deep purples.
