This Sink Style Gives a Bath a Light, Open Feel
Console sinks are an exciting choice for a vintage style bath. In the early 20th century, this type of sink was a sign of wealth. Today, they are more affordable, come in many styles, and are readily available in vitreous china with matching sculpted legs and metal washstands with marble tops. The sinks are usually wall mounted with the plumbing exposed, so they are light and airy in appearance. If storage is not an issue, and you don’t mind seeing exposed plumbing, consider installing a console sink in your bath.

Rebekah Zaveloff These are wonderful, thanks! I'm in love with that first bathroom! I've also had a love affair with the marble basketweave for a year now...it's replaced the hex tile in many of my projects. Great to see all these in one spot!

ds design studio kitchenlab, glad you enjoyed this one. It is interesting how many of the console sinks are paired with marble basketweave, but not surprising since it is such a classic and elegant pattern.
