amead FYI - the arrangement of reclaimed wood in one of the above photos are actually copper "shelves" with a patina. I remember admiring them in a catalog -- Crate and Barrel? West Elm? Can't recall which.

Peter Medvin I love the nooks too, and the carved out niche in the shower is something I did years ago in a previous apartment. I also used an electronic, remote controlled retractable bed called Zoom-Room - think 21st Century Murphy Bed - to save space and add storage. hmseen I love the nooks ideas and the by the window seats...which i think can be combined purpose of nook and seat by the window for my room....
