When replacing windows in your home, consider arch windows. Used for centuries for practical and beautiful touches on churches, cathedrals and formal monuments, arch windows add instant elegance. Because any type of window can be custom built with an arched top, you can get the exact look your specific interior calls for. Not to mention that they improve your home’s curb appeal. This relatively small renovation makes a big difference.
These windows can be more difficult to install, so consult with a contractor for advice before beginning. Take a look here on Houzz at the many different ways the simple inclusion of an arch window can open up, add light to, and completely improve these already beautiful spaces.

In a space that could possibly be overlooked as useless—a landing—this one has been turned into another room altogether with its great design and full lighting.

grannybeverly I enjoy looking at arched windows but as shown in the examples they are difficult to dress with window coverings. Most examples haven't needed them it seems for privacy or light control.

ellie48 A great post, txranchgirl. Arched windows, - a rich look. I especially like the quite tall windows which means the ceilings are high = volume. Many thanks.
