Kitchen: Like & Don't Like
Don't like the undefined space of the kitchen. This is TOO much a part of the whole.
I like the huge island. Not the color but the feel of the huge island and all the interest created by the detail.
Interesting. Never seen a 2-story kitchen with a landing above it.
Not this exactly but this mix of warm color and sleekness. Decided I have to have wood- medium dark- in a kitchen.
Not this wood or anything that looks like this-- looks like "Designed by IKEA"
Something about this island pleases me. Maybe because the cool iron legs are so unexpected. Not much for the rest of the space.
Wood too dark but more inviting still keeping the sleekness of lines
Too sleek but interesting use of gray cabinets instead of wood. Keeps it more inviting than the shocking white of most of the contemporary designs.
Like the big block wood overhanging creating the bar space
Like the Wood block counter with the modern. Still too sterile for me overall, tho
Only put this in for the definition of space idea. I like the openess combined with the arch to define the space as "separate" from the rest of the house. More modern arch or box would work better in our new house tho.
Love this counter
Hate the light cabinets but put it in because of the comfortable seating and round line of the island. Eyebrow island in our house?
This is a funky idea of making the kitchen 'in the round!'
Ceiling only (with cool giant fixture over giant island) the rest (repeating the tile on the walls) is way too busy for me
I'd like a whole kitchen like the sink area. Hate the rest of the room and the "new" mixing everything so it looks like three different kitchens in one room.
Seating. even better if they had backs and arms
A little too traditional but love the large glass cabinets and the seating
Way too busy but like the rounded counter/bar that wraps and sort of "encloses" the kitchen with seating and counter space while keeping it open to the rest of the house
This is more the vibe if the ONLY pattern was the countertop and cool light fixture. I can't take too many focal points in a kitchen.
Dividing space while keeping it open.
Still too many different elements, but I love the long, sweeping, curved counter
Like the lighting and the marble and wood-- nothing else
Hate the rooms but love the cool curved ceiling
