As somewhat of a modernist, I've often turned my nose up at slipcovered pieces. Then my sister had two boys, the messy kind that jump a lot and break stuff. Needless to say, I am now a large fan of the slipcover.
For the past year or so, from one client to another, I've toyed around with slippies myself. Although it may have taken me some time to warm up to them stylistically, their practicality was evident from the first cranberry juice spill to the third run-in with tarnished, sticky fingers. | While off-white and cream sofas are the best way to work white-ish upholstery into your home wisely, greige is a more up-to-date approach. Obsessive, you can check out my living room photo, both my sofa and loveseat have very snug fiting slips and don't look messy at all. You can have the best of both worlds!
