Outdoor entertainment with the warmth of fire to extend the usability of outdoor rooms into the cool evenings, fire pits are a great addition! Having a heat source at your feet to radiate up through your body as opposed to lamp heaters that just warm your head or scalp in my case is a great bonus but just as a camp fire the flame can be the entertainment that people can chat over and see over.
