Guest Picks: Living Inside an Old Carriage House
My dream house is an old barn or carriage house in the countryside, nestled between the hills and trees. I'd want it to be modernized, a bit industrial in design yet still keep the feel of the old life it once had. I am in love with the idea of a large abstract horse painting paired with a chic rug on an old, beat-up wooden plank floor. I thought it would be fun to come up with a great room design for my dream carriage house this month. — Courtney from A Little Glass Box

This brass floor lamp stole my heart, not only because all things that are shiny make me happy, but because it brings sophistication to an otherwise casual living room.
