AMC’s super-successful period series Mad Men made drinking both at home and in the office stylish — visually, at least. And while today’s corporate landscape doesn’t allow for keeping a properly stocked bar behind your desk at work, adding a few choice bottles to your home study or workspace adds another dimension to your personal space's character and style.

This is the best of all worlds! Great masculine library/study that features a desk/sink plus a handy bar setup in the bookshelves. While not all of us can have a custom desk, the bottles look smashing sitting next to hardback books and picture frames.

I'm not suggesting putting two bars in your home office, but both of these would stand alone beautifully in a study. The wall unit is so unique (not to mention act as a piece of art AND a bar), and the elegant rolling cart could work in nearly any space.

If you can’t bring a mobile bar to your desk, bring your desk to the bar! The Apple work station is a legitimate and smart space-saving solution, but in actuality looks quite good next to the modern wet bar setup.
Classic bottles (hello, Pimms #1) don’t just have to be reserved for vintage bars made of walnut or mahogany, they can also look good accompanying a slick, modern piece. This is another great example of why displaying a handful of bottles and glasses (rather than a fully stocked bar) really works well, especially for space-saving desks like this one.
Oh how I swoon over this mid-century modern office. Just replace those decorative vignettes with a small tray to hold liquor basics, add a couple of Dorothy Thorpe rocks glasses, throw in thick cocktail napkins and presto, you’ve got the perfect accompaniment for the desk.

A super-easy way to classically display your booze is with a butler tray. I got this one at West Elm, and use it as “the bar” in my loft. It’s not typically displayed behind my desk, but if I had an actual study I would display the tray on the stand, cabinet or chaise lounge.
I love how subtle and hidden this bar is. You hardly notice it among the massive built-in desk setup. This further cements idea that a little goes a long way when displaying spirits: It’s just interesting enough to be noticed, yet takes little away from what the space truly is: an office.
And then there's the idea of turning an entire closet into a hidden bar. The fact this pocket bar is elevated with sliding doors significantly helps the James Bond factor.

becky~ I'm fascinated by how "un-done" and random Andy's set is....it's like the refrigerator magnet collection of set design.
