If a natural view like the one on the previous picture is not available, try using a mural. When I first saw this picture I honestly believed that the image was a real background. I think it works even if it's just a picture. It is very transporting and relaxing, perfect for a working environment.

See... any corner works! Just make sure to use a small counter, small chair, small everything! For storage, if you can't go sideways, just go up. We usually don't use spaces close to the ceiling, take advantage of that.
