Lang Kitchen Backsplash
I don't like the bubbles for your kitchen, but I like the simplicity of a framed area within a field of subway tile
I like this idea of a pencil line about 4-6" above the countertop
I like that the backsplash tile nearly matches the cabinetry color, love the herringbone, but I hate the very contrasty black frame over the stove with no area around it. That part looks like a mistake.
If this didn't have such a dark, contrasting color to the accent area, I would like this a lot. The tile is pillowed with little dots--very handmade looking. Notice the little pencil line that frames this area also continues to the sides.
similar to your kitchen--light perimeter cabinets, dark island. Very simple tilework with just touches of dots.
A backsplash that is a bit darker than the cabinetry helps to make the cabinetry pop. Very simple tone-on-tone tilework.
The tile frame uses a crown for the bottom to create a little shelf. Hmmm?
diagonal tile backsplash with colored dots
too much contrast in the backsplash tile pulls attention away from the cabinetry
very simple backsplash subway tile, but I find the scale of the bricks too large
diagonal tile looks really nice, but I don't like all the extra stuff below it.
diagonal tile backsplash with curved valances and tile shelf inset over cooktop
Interestingly shaped tile backsplash with no extra stuff makes a nice texture. I'd use a different colored grout to match the tile.
Backsplash in the countertop stone with a little ledge and simple tile above it.
