What part of our front porch might look like. And I LOVE this rich, dark brown exterior paint color.
I think Kevin is wanting brown trim on a tan house. I'd prefer white trim on a brown house...
I like this exterior paint color scheme. Dark grayish brown paint with white (or cream would be better actually) trim.
Another brown/gray siding color with off-white/cream trim. I really like this. Lots of soft neutrals that make a statement when paired.
This siding color is interesting but pretty. Sort of a greenish-brownish-gray with cream/off-white trim? I kind of like it.
I love these styles of exterior lights. We need one by the back door coming out of the garage and MAYBE a smaller one on the side of the house where we keep the garbage cans?
I think this is WAYYYYYY too much, but we need to remember to investigate exterior home and landscape lighting above and beyond just a front porch light and garage lights. A few can lights in the eaves and maybe 3 to 5 landscape lights in the front yard?
This looks like a nice amount of exterior lighting and it's a great idea to highlight the craftsman porch columns from the ground. I think we should do that.
Can lights in eaves.
You can't see much of the house in this pic, but the simple eave light and a couple small lights in the entry way stairs might be just what we want. I also like the idea from the other pic, tho, of lighting the front porch columns.
This exterior paint color WITH the beautiful fall maple. Perfect!
GREAT outdoor lighting!
I love the idea of a pendant light on the porch. What would K think?
Really like that style of light. One pendant for the front porch, then wall-mounted varieties by the garage doors and out on the gym building.
The light fixture on the exterior wall is like what we want, I think, but a size or two bigger. Along the outside of the garage doors and the backyard outbuilding.
YES! LOVE those lights! The ones on the sides of the french doors. Maybe a smidge bigger for the sides of the garage doors but these look right for the outbuilding in back. Love the boxy, simple design.
It's a little bit hard to tell, but I THINK these are the style of lights we like. A bit square-ish and maybe Craftsman-ish with a matching pendant for the front entry. Need also for the outbuilding.
The recessed lights above the garage doors. yes. K wants this.
Love the square/rectangular pendant. Want to see the matching wall sconces that match for the garage doors and outbuilding.
I would never in a million years choose red for my house color, but I LOVE this. And that house over by the ranch Kevin and I both loved was also red...hmmmmm...... :)
I think K likes the look of dark trim with dark siding. It's not my 1st choice, but I could get used to it. Very Craftsman-y, which I do like.
I like this cultured stone style AND the upper paint color. Kind of a dark-taupe.
LOVE the paint color and the bright white trim, but not the stone/brick.
I like the style of cultured stone on the columns/house. The greenish gray paint color is nice, too. Surprisingly since I don't care much for green.
I like this stone.
I like this dark paint color with white trim AND the copper roof and the wood shingles and several other details.
This house has the board and batten in the eaves. I like the contrast painting on it.
I really like this one with just the contrast painted 2x4 trim in the eaves and then the timber pieces in all the eaves also. Also like the garage hardware.
Oh, another pretty one with regular siding below and board and batten above, and then small timber accents in the eaves.
A pic with a mix of lap and shake siding in a Craftsman style where all siding is painted the same.
Another example of lap siding with shingles in the eaves and all painted the same. I like the trim boards between the two types of siding and like them painted in the window trim/contrast color. I do also love these Craftsman trim pieces but it would be fine without.
More close up view of the lap/shingle siding combo.
This house is all over the place, but would be a good one to show Kevin all the types of siding on one house. LOL. Shingles in the closest gable, lap siding around/above the garage door, board and batten on the gable to the left of the front door and the red nook sticking out to the left of that and then more shingles above the red nook it looks like. AND stone. Whew!
I love everything about this! The siding color (griffin?) the trim color (urban putty?) the stone, the hardware on the garage doors, the lap siding down below and the board and batten up above. Remove the shingles at the very top and this place is PERFECT!
Great furniture idea for our covered back porch.
