Slipcover idea for the chairs in the Master Sitting area.
I'm glad we ruled out the smaller stainless steel tiles. I think in this photo- it's too visually noisy with all of the little shiny pieces and no variation to break it up. But I marked this picture because it does show how shiny the stainless backsplash would be.
Proportion. I like the proportion of the motif in the backsplash above the stove here.
Now this is an interesting idea. I like the concept of a piece of stone as part of the backsplash. In this particular picture I don't really get it, and I don't like the stainless countertops, but we could look into getting a scrap of carrera, which is what your counter top is, and potentially use a square of that. I think we'd chatted about this concept briefly. I love it.
For this picture, I put it in the idea book because it's a great example of how that big stainless piece would look, and the vent is similar to yours. It's a lot of metal, but it works in this picture. It gives a nice chic-industrial look to the space.
Again, I selected this photo because it's another example of the stainless backsplash for just the stove area, and also shows a similar multi-color mini tile not unlike what we have in mind. I actually don't like how this looks. Granted, there's a lot more mini tile here than you'd have.
I picked this picture because I like the half level of stainless. It's just enough to be practical and not so much that it's a massive wall of steel. I don't particularly like the tile they have around the stainless here, but I do like the concept. Does the piece of stainless you have in mind come in this size? That shelf could come in handy, too.
Another half backsplash of stainless. I do like how this is done.
This I think is probably the closest to what I thought you were referring to with the large stainless piece. This also shows how it would look if the stainless went up the wall on either sides of the vent. It's a lot of steel. I think in this picture, because the appliance isn't fully stainless, that it works.
Another little half height stainless piece. I like this. This shows how the tile would look if we continued our mini-tiles up the wall on either sides of the vent.
I don't like that they're all the little squares, but I do like the stainless motif in the midst of the mini tiles here. Cabinetry and countertops aren't dissimilar to the colors you have.
I picked this example because it's kind of a compromise height. It's taller than the half height ones in the previous pictures, and I like that the height of the stainless piece ends at a relevant level with regard to the bottom of the vent. You could potentially keep the paint color on either side of the neck of the vent.
Another example of the wall of stainless, which continues up around the vent.
