I have to admit, I'm a pattern lover. Recently, I helped a friend put her bedroom together and was amazed at how scared she was of using patterns in her space. Here are some easy way to incorporate them into your home decor, whether you're a pattern newbie or not. — Chedva from Rooms and Words
I like Mini Moderns' accessories for home because they allow you to get used to patterns without committing. If you fall in love with their patterns, they have amazing wallpaper too!
I love the idea of taking patterned fabrics outside. Trina Turk's fabric collection is for both indoor and outdoor use, and I like it in big doses (sofa or bench seat) outside and small doses (throw pillow) inside the house.
If there's an expert on patterns, she's Diane von Furstenberg. I think it's cool that she brought her sense of pattern from fashion to home decor, and I would love to sleep on these sheets.
This new take on the classic dots pattern is beautiful, elegant, and subtle enough for those who are just starting to introduce patterns into their homes.
I would cover one wall in this wallpaper and paint the rest of the room the same beige. The glimmer of the pattern will keep it from blending in too much.
I'm in love with the idea of adding pattern by changing a boring lamp shade to one with a design. This one is special because it's both gingham and ikat!
Books like Allegra Hicks' add instant pattern to your coffee table and can also serve as inspiration for using more patterns — can't go wrong with that!
Loom Decor Love this ideaboard Chedva! Adding pattern can be intimidating but it's the best way to give your home a unique personality. Thanks for the ideas!
