I work as a blogger for businesses although I do a variety of different types of writing. I particularly enjoy writing about all aspects of design and creativity. I think that your home should reflect your personality and that it should change as you change. More about me at www.kathrynvercillo.com and http://diaryofasmartchick.com.

I love the idea of using carts throughout a home. They can be wheeled around to different rooms as needed. They can be used for storage or as extra tabletops. And if you select the right style then you can make sure that the cart serves to enhance the rest of your decor.
When choosing your cart, plan for it to go in a specific place. Sure, you might be moving it around but you want the design to match the area where it will be spending most of its time. Choose a cart that's the right color, material and style for its primary location (be that the kitchen, bathroom or even outdoors).
Make sure that you choose a cart that will provide you with enough function since this isn't just a decor piece. It should be the right size and contain enough shelving or drawer space to hold whatever it is that you plan on storing with the cart. This makes the item useful as well as pretty in your home.
The modern kitchen cart is a great way to add shelving to your kitchen. It may hold dishes, glasses, pots and pans or anything else that you need regular access to.
Perhaps the most common way that a cart is used in the home is as a mini-bar. People pull out fully-stocked rolling carts when it's time to entertain. I think this could be a great addition to a kitchen even when the alcohol wasn't being served.
If you do have a bar cart for your home, make sure that it is one that goes with the rest of your decor. I absolutely love this unique wooden cart especially since it matches the modern wall art here.
I love how flowers have been added to this cocktail cart to make it look a little bit more interesting. In fact, I'd love to see this cart used only as a flower stand in someone's home!
This is a terrific unusual use of the cart in the living room. It holds a mirror and knick knacks but is so much more interesting than an end table would be. It matches the table and light in the room so it blends nicely into the decor.
See that cart that is placed off to the right of the media room? I'm not sure what it holds but I can see a modern cart like this being a great place to store DVDs, video game controllers and other items used in an entertainment room.
You can really make a statement with a unique cart repurposed as a table in your home. This broken yellow metal cart has definitely received a great new life!
A cart can be used as inspiration for a modern piece of furniture in the home. This coffee table is inspired by an old bull cart. It provides a unique hefty feeling in an otherwise light, floral room.

Pat Lukes Love the yellow cart. I personally think it fits with any decor, well maybe not traditional or colonial, but all others.
