utensil rack
beadboard backsplash
Tile, not necessarily that color
Dishwasher with utensil drawer?
What is best use for end of peninsula. Could provide easy access to frequently used items. What?
Raised surface with space beneath on counter?
Consider using collection of ~8 Shearwater tiles in backsplash?
I haven't made up my mind about this sink style. I want a single large and deep sink.
Nice. Don't see where it might go in the kitchen, but might be room in hallway in wall to rear of oven.
Like the chalk board very much.
Don't want knives in a drawer.
Yes on the drawer for casseroles and such. No to low storage for heavy items.
Very nice. No bending over to get commonly used things.
Seems to make sense to use that space. Any problems associated with doing this?
Ok, maybe the rusty metal is a bit much. This is a visual trainwreck.
Very busy in general, but the idea of using old wood and metal on the sides of the peninsula is attractive.
kickplate drawers. I saw something similar done for a central vacuum system, just open and sweep crumbs in.
Good place for large platters. Room available in kitchen?
pan and sheet storage. Don't see an opportunity in the main kitchen. Perhaps above the oven in the pantry "hall"?
Black backboard is good. Use behind pot rack on north end of pantry adjacent to oven? Or too dark?
Large "island" counter on casters instead of fixed on north edge.
Like the large silverware space, but that can probably be accomplished with just a wide drawer and conventional inserts. Is there an advantage to using this configuration of two drawers as compared to just using two drawers?
Shelving, hanging capability for utensils. Metal countertop, but want to use copper, allowed to oxidize and develop a patina, not polished.
Are pull-out bins usable in the pantry? They increase usable shelf space.
Under-sink storage - shelf mounted on cabinet front/door?
The pantry. Like the color, shelves. Pot rack.
Small shelves. Absolutely no to cat butts on counters.
I want a serious vent hood that provides effective ventilation.
Possible solution for two inside corner cabinets. Wire shelving for pantry might make sense. Wood shelves seem to get scarred and dirty in pantries.
Yes for pot lids.
Open cabinets as on right might work for all or part of east side of peninsula
I'd like to strongly consider small white tile for backsplash, as is Casamento's and other oyster bars in N.O. This tile is larger and doesn't work quite as well.
I have a four+ foot long heavy brass rectangle that was a pot rack in my Atlanta house. I like having pots & pans readily available. Also have small brass bank teller window gate for pot storage - being used in 1708 kitchen.
Horizontal bars for storage beneath counters - very good. Not quite what's shown here, but similar product. Photos elsewhere.
Shelves above fridge. Countertop on island, looks good and functional, don't like hard counter surfaces. No marble.
