Large modular carpet tiles come in many colors, patterns and textures and can be configured to create a custom area rug or wall-to-wall carpet to fit almost any design style. They're easy to install and so practical. When an area of the rug wears out or gets stained, simply replace the damaged tile without having to get a whole new rug. Most clean up with a quick rinse. And if you move, you can take your rug with you!
Eco-friendly tiles are manufactured in energy efficient facilities, made from renewable and recycled content and have low VOCs. A few companies even recycle your old tiles if you return them when you're done. What's not to like? Let's see some examples of this ingenious product in Houzz homes.

One very practical thing about these tiles is, you can buy an extra box of tiles to keep on hand so if there's a kid or puppy 'accident', you can easily replace the soiled carpet tile with a new one while you either clean the old tile or, if it's too damaged, throw it out. This flexibility makes these a great solution for use in high-risk areas such as kitchens, entry halls, and kid areas.
Can you tell I just love carpet tiles?
