We love this clever idea for a custom pot rack from Houzz member Dianna, an Ohio artist who enjoys painting (preferably not on canvas) and transforming discarded furniture into "unique workable pieces." The shelf ($1 from a salvage shop) and brackets ($2) hold a piece of copper piping from the hardware store. Could cooking implements be any more handy when you need them, and out of the way when you don't?

Most of the hanging kitchen tools are needed beside the cooker. I have a deep drawer at the right hand side of my cooker where I keep all these and more. They are standing up in containers so they can be located at a glance. No travelling! So handy.
