Summer's nearly here, and with it often comes a horde of houseguests. If you're scrambling to find a space to tuck visiting family and friends for a night or two, think beyond the typical guest room. Instead, consider the nooks and crannies in your home that might be overlooked. From a bed under the stairs to a sleeping space in an office closet, these ideas will have your guests feeling cozy and comfortable all night long.

Creating a sleeping nook with curtains is a great idea if the nook is in an often-used part of your home. If guests need more privacy, they can simply close the drapes.
If your home already has a daybed, this spot can work for guests too.
Dens are great for overnight guests. This windowed pocket door may not provide all of the necessary privacy, but the drapery rod and panels are a great quick fix.

When guests arrive, remove the play table and toys from the floor, and add a vase of fresh flowers and a favorite book by the table lamp, and you're set. |
