I like to tinker with my laundry room by adding little decorative or organizational additions here and there. Sometimes even the smallest changes can make a big difference. I hope the following ideas will be the inspiration needed to pretty-up your own laundry space! — Elaina from Fun Finds for Mom
This is very similar to my laundry sorter, which kind of changed my whole outlook on laundry. The kids love to give each other rides in the cart and use it in their elaborate fort creations. Fun for the whole family!
I have one of these glass bottles filled with dish soap on my kitchen counter. The same could be done with liquid laundry detergent. I looks so much better than an ugly plastic jug!
When I gave my laundry room a mini makeover a few years ago, I added this bright white bin from IKEA. It's the perfect spot to toss used dryer sheets, trash from pockets and other laundry-related trash. It's also very easy to wipe clean.
This beadboard drying rack tucks up and out of the way when you're not using it to hang hand-washables to dry. It comes in black, honey or rubbed white.
My kids love to hang out while I do laundry. If there's room in your laundry area, a kids play table, like this one from loll designs (made from recycled milk jugs), is a fun addition. I have a similar table in my laundry room that I also use for washables that need to dry flat.
I would love to cover the cement floor of my laundry room with these vinyl ModularityTiles. They're available in die-cut circles and rounded squares that you can mix and match from 17 color choices — fun!
tcufrog We have a similar laundry sorter and it saves a lot of time. I use it to sort our lights, brights and denim. I have a separate tall laundry basket for sheets and towels.
barretem My favorite laundry "baskets" are the large blue bags from Ikea that you can purchase for about one dollar. If you have to haul a load of laundry anywhere, especially up and down stairs, the handles and flexible material make it so much easier than lugging a basket. AND you can store them really easily.
