Elements of Design
Space may give a lonely and inferior feeling. I would feel inferior in this room because its big and there's nothing really to look at because its almost all one color.
Space may give a feeling of being trapped. I feel like there is to many things so it makes the space look smaller.
Space may give a feeling of being exposed. The window takes up the whole wall so I would feel very exposed because anybody that walks by could see inside.
Line may suggest different feelings, There are tall, narrow windows so it makes the room look taller.
Lines may suggest different feelings. I would feel like standing in this room because the windows are vertical and the bookcase is also vertical. So I would want to look out the windows and look at books.
Mass or density may be used to describe the number of dwellings packed in an area or the size of the objects compared with it's surroundings. The furniture looks to large for the size of this room. So its abundant.
Mass or density may be used to describe the number of dwellings packed in an area or the size of the objects compared with it's surroundings. There is not much to look at in this room so its very sparse.
Texture is roughness or smoothness. This bath looks rough because of the tiled wall and shelf decoration.
Texture is roughness and smoothness. This room looks smooth because the counter, walls, and flooring doesn't have any texture.
Form should fit the function planned for it. All of the food and drinks fit and have a specific place.
Form may provide lack of stability. these chairs do not look stable because one of the chairs have different legs like it broke and they had to fix it.
Alayna's room. I like this room because turquoise is my favorite color and its colorful. It looks cozy to me. It feels like it would be easy to fall asleep in. I don't like things that don't have very many colors so I really like this room. The orange and the turquoise really go together in this room. The only thing that I don't like in this room is the blanket at the end of the bed.
I like this room because there are bright colors and patterns.-Abbi
Emphasis is Dominance, Shows what is important, and Implies order. This room is an example of emphasis because the couch and the chairs in this room are facing toward the main item which is the fireplace.
