Bio:
While in college Donald B. Lane began to develop his skills by working as a kitchen designer for a major retailer, as he was studying Design and Fine Art.
He then went to work for BARKER BROTHERS FINE FURNITURE STORES in Los Angeles, California as “Display Director” for all 13 stores (the youngest person to hold such a position within the 100 year old company). With responsibilities that included model rooms, store layouts and special promotional window displays. He went on to work with the Store Planning department in designing two new stores. He also worked with the advertising department in setting up photo shoots for print and television advertisements.

It is a very small room, but by adding a few large scaled pieces actually made the room seem larger, this is also acheived by limiting "clutter"

With this project, the Wife loved anything Hawaiian or Asian, the Husband wanted a more contemporary feel. It was an interesting mix of styles that pleased both Husband and Wife.

Before the remodel, the kitchen was closed in. There was a wall where the bar is now. The wall was removed, the bar and all new cabinets and appliances were installed.
