| White corbel arches and filigreed panels. It's almost like the Taj Majal. |

| Pattern Not all Indian textiles are bright or blingy. This room is subtle, airy, modern and definitely inspired by India. This is what judicious but still exuberant use of pattern can do. I love this room. |
De-Cor, Globally Inspired in Pasadena,CA. Absolutely the best selection of India's finest. I've attcahed some spaces in which I used artifacts, furniture and architectural remnants from India. Thanks for this great ideabook.

I wish the author had included more of the vivid colors that is typical of the various regions in India. After all, who else has an entire holiday dedicated to color?!!
There are lots of good books that show some examples - one of the books I love is "India: In Word and Image" by Eric Meola and Bharati Mukherjee. It's a very large, coffee-table style book - that I just couldn't put down. I wanted to immerse myself in those beautiful colors and never return to my formerly favorite neutral colors again!!
