efficient galley...restricted entry...nook...but mostly-lots of natural light
great combo of regal, light, livable, clean lines !!
access to kit...white,light,clean...take/dwn trestle table is nice touch
perfect place to break the fast of previous night !!
big enough nook to be used by more than two...imagine coffee here, any time of day !!
simplicity, 50's metal table ... needs matching chairs ...shed roof...lose clutter...is clng sheet/iron w/bms underneath ???
1/2 hexagon bay..windows..upholstered seats & 2 chairs-combo
1/2 hexagon walls..tall clng & windows..chair rail &victorianna
windows doors ceiling and room size
metal tile ..w/ sealer
" T" shape from arial view w/ side wings an acute angle affording an entry nestled in a central focal/point...also breezeway/open deck proximity & access to front & rear yards....design of porch....relationship (in height) of upper wall-plate/line, effecting an ingenious, pleasing look & light to the gable/dormers-not to mention,an efficiency of construction r/s board & bat siding...metal roof...authentic form & function...perfect lake house !!!
absolutely love the efficiency & practically of a 1 1/2 story...2 sided porch...as a carpenter of 50 yrs ,contracting many houses & remodels- I've learned efficiency of design is paramount for most...like the nostalgia of open rafter tails, porches, transoms or fixed glass facimaly, affordable clng. fans....very livable, crisp, simple lines...light & bright....shed roof dormer fits this façade perfectly....imagine W/ a breezeway, then 2/car gar. to the right ???
the ( so simple-you can't believe it slipped your mind) concept of changing drab,overused,too/econo,wood colored- board&batten...into an inviting, classy ( but still ranch) ambiance, just by painting white...I am bowled over by this simplistic & economical, but drastic change to aesthetics...great salutations & thanks miss shirlymetka !!!!!
the " whole courtyard idea" ....including the gateway ( maybe minus the roof/over)....mostly love, love the centrality/courtyard concept,in general....
O K..big guy....my shower/ dipping vat....what is light streaming thru lil holes in clng ??...natural from skylight or is this a fixture..???
a must/have...mostly for the challenge,but- entry to safe room, collections, root cellar,???
look past " Tuscan", stone , landscape...try to grasp the main concept that sets this apart,ie, an astounding entry- a half round-open to 3rd story room-ie- 1st floor= grandeur- foyer & projection of great/dining/living/kitchen rooms w/ coffered clngs....this spectacular structure is 10' to 11' radii & has door opng into breezeway to 2/car gar on east...right of entry is foot of winding stair w/ head of same @ east s/e end of cantilevered 8' long causeway w/ railing - supported by well/anchored, slightly ornate corbels ( lending to open a estetics) door on right to all purpose 2nd story room over breezeway & gar...another 6'-8" of hgth from stairs on other end of causeway is another causeway & railing ,the whole circumference w/ clerstory windows for views & w/ a revolving light- facsimile of a lighthouse...will the Grandam of 51 yrs together be wowed by her creative hubby ??? see next pic for similar interior....
magnifecent doesn't even whisper to the affect this plays on my schicy...I have to approach this concept of grandeur for my 51 yr partner & the fulfillment of the challenge to this old carpenter of 51 yrs...I am both enthralled & betrothed !!!!!!
it's best color scheme by far..." man cave au grautin "....mill work should be scaled down in quantity & heaviness & stain " early American"....the hue of ivory is perrrfect...
graveled parking-low rail fence separating themes-breezeway to garage
the protruding window area really improves an otherwise blah gable
color of siding & pergola
courtyards are very effiencient for outdoor living
the possibility of similar idea for entry area on our very rural addition/remodel that is only 68 ft from rural/gravel road..the vines would be perfect to screen dust, but allow breezes- hopefully evergreens ???
