Determining the color scheme for a room can be a daunting task. Should you choose warm or cool colors? How many different colors should you use? The questions can go on and on. A good way to start is to choose the predominant hue you want for the room. And if you love the hue enough, one fairly unexpected route to take is try out a monochromatic color scheme.
To create a monochromatic color scheme simply choose fabrics and finished in tints and shades of the primary hue. Far from being predictable or boring, monochromatic color schemes can be anything from soothing to exciting. It's all up to your imagination!

And psjody, I agree with you on the safety issue of hanging a mirror over a crib (over any bed for that matter.) However, the reason I chose to feature this photo is because it is a beautifully done monochromatic color scheme.
