Create windowsill vignettes. Sometimes the tiniest details can make a huge difference in the way a room looks and feels. In the bathroom try swapping out your standard washcloth for a hand-knit version, plunk a garden rose in a water glass and display pretty little vases or bottles where they can catch the light. Line up seashells in a kitchen window; prop a tiny painting and a jelly jar of flowers in a study window.
White for budget decorators. Decorating with white can be incredibly easy and inexpensive. Found a funky piece of junk shop furniture? Paint it white to transform it into something chic. White cotton duck slipcovers; curtains made from painter’s drop cloths; big-box-store white china, towels and bedding; and simple white accessories, like vases and pitchers found at flea markets and yard sales, are all affordable and chic ways to decorate a home with white.
Stiffkey Blue Named for the unusual color of the mud in Stiffkey, a parish along the northern coast of England, this blue has a slight hint of green to it and lots of gray — the latter of which tones down the depth. Stiffkey Blue looks crisp when paired with white, but for added drama you could also pair it with accents of crimson, gold or green.
A scholarly nest. Surround yourself with books, artwork and plump cushions to create your own personal literary salon. Crave a writerly life? A small nook with a view out the window plus a table, a chair and a door that closes are all the essentials you need. But to really do it up right, I advise surrounding yourself with favorite books, fresh flowers, good music and twinkle lights or candles. Then grab a mug of hot tea and get to work.

Straight. If you would like to have additional casual seating in your kitchen, a straight banquette, especially along a bank of windows with a pretty view, is a great option. When to use: When a long, narrow space is available.
pretty little coffee station
Love the color: Ocean Liner is from Behr’s Seaside Harmony collection. It’s a fetching turquoise that has a hint of gray, which gives it a subdued quality.

Don’t leave piles of mail, newspapers or magazines out. You know, every now and then there are really important things that come in the mail. It’s probably good to go through it at least once in your lifetime. If you can’t get to it right away, file it away neatly and get to it as soon as you can.
Can't deny that the idea of living in a tiny home & moving wherever I want is pretty appealing....
great use of space!
