Houzz Contributor. Hi There! I currently live in a 1920s cottage in Atlanta that I'll describe as "collected."
I got into design via Landscape Architecture, which I studied at the University of Virginia. I've been writing about design online for quite a few years over at Hatch: The Design Public Blog.

I've been trying to come up with ways to make my home "new to me" without spending any money. Pieces from storage spots are being worked back into rotation, I'm switching up my artwork, and I'm pulling out inspirational design books. One such book is all about David Hicks, king of the tablescape. He often utilized trays as part of his compositions and he was a master at it. Debbie, As a Landscape Architect, I used to get annoyed by "-scape" getting added to everything (I credit Jonathan Adler with "bedscape") but now I've completely succombed to it. I think I made "trayscape" up out of a lack of what else to say!
I love using trays, so much can be done with them....
