Kelly Wearstler could quite possibly be the queen of yellow; she has successfully brought this color back in vogue by pairing it with black in her graphic, modern spaces. While I love this look, there are so many other options for using yellow in the home.

Start with the hue...how saturated do you want the yellow in your room to be? If you want to go with bold, canary yellow, try using it in measured doses. Think of the room as a painting, you don't want your eye to just stop where the brightest color is. Avoid this by placing accents of yellow throughout the room. Try pairing yellow with grays, blues, and white for a sophisticated, modern look.

Bleech! Trend or no trend, I totally dislike yellow.

Paint colours are usually too bright, or too green, too pale, or too something else for my tastes - with apologies to those who absolutely love it!

Help, my 16 year old daughter loves this bold yellow, I need photos to show her its better as an accent then the main wall color. Thanks in advance.
I love love love yellow....especially in spring when I am tired of the winter blues! Add yellow accents in a room with decorative pillows. Its like putting smiles on your furniture :)
