April is such a pretty month. My favorite time are the few days when the trees and flowers just start to bloom, especially if it rains (just a little) - all of the soft, new colors blend together like an Impressionist painting.
While those first few days of spring don't last forever, it's possible to capture the look indoors. Soft colors, indirect light, comfortable fabrics and fluid fabrics recreate an early spring rain shower - without all the wetness.

I love the sage green on these walls - and the slight texture - and I really like how the color works with the black iron sink. Small doses of intense color, or black, can actually emphasize the softness of pastels.

Robin's egg blue is such a pretty color and it adds sweetness, but also energy. I like this kitchen's Scandinavian vibe. Its Swedish country aesthetic is attractive and homey, but not hokey.

I love this for so many reasons. The ceiling is often forgotten, but here it gets the wallpaper treatment. It's not over the top, thanks to the muted colors, but the texture is subtly eye-catching. At eye-level, I love the mirrored table and feminine lines.
