Rope. Chain. Rubber. Driftwood. Those are just a few of the materials seen in unique furnishings, lighting and accessories at spring 2012's High Point Market in North Carolina, which wrapped up April 26. Every vendor seemed to have a smattering of common goods reimagined. From a simple coil of rope in a bowl to an entire wall full of old love letters, these items showed that making something old new again makes for good design. Here are a few of our favorite examples.

What a wonderful way to turn old books into incredible art! We adored this statement piece, titled "Cooking the Books," made of tea-dipped and sun-baked novels.
