Four-star San Francisco designers remake a high-end home for the 2012 event, offering inspiration for your own bedrooms, bathrooms and more
A bed sculpted out of steel and reclaimed wood, a headboard designed to blend into walls and a bathtub filled to the brim with airport-confiscated scissors were just a few of the sights to see in the bedrooms and bathrooms of the 2012 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, which opens April 28 and runs through May 28, 2012.
The designers stuck with simple color schemes for their rooms but livened them up with textural walls, incredible accessories and custom-made furniture. The light palette is broken up only with flashes of off-white and navy, and a bit of color over the fireplace. A sculptural fireplace screen becomes a functional piece of art.

Casart Coverings Stripes seem to be "in", which makes us very happy! What a harmonius, soothing environment Heather Hilliard created for that bedroom with the stripe continuing right across the headboard. We did a demonstration at High Point spring market of an easy stripe installation with Casart's Karen Robertson Collection stripe and illustrated how the strips/stripes could be combined in various colors, widths and even crisscrossed. Note in the second picture that the vertical stripe has been applied across the top and side of a table to continue the vertical design. In the 3rd photo, the white stripe is applied to the tan wall.
