Guest Picks: Inspired by the French Countryside
Get a French look for your home without the cost of a plane ticket
I love mid century modern design with a vintage, bohemian flare. I like art walls, collections of found objects, neutral palettes with pops of color, ethnic textiles, flea market finds, diy, chalkboard walls, and unexpected design elements. I write about design, style, fashion, travel, and anything else that inspires me on my blog: http://www.thedesignboards.com

Next month I'm traveling to the countryside of France. As I usually do when I travel, I'm hoping to pick up some beautiful items for my home at the local shops and flea markets. Since I've been inspired by all things France lately, I decided to find some lovely goods online that are sure to bring a little bit of the French style to your home without the expense of the plane ticket! Enjoy.

This lion's head brass door knocker just says "Paris" when I look at it. I imagine it once hung on a very old, wooden and ornate door to a building in Paris somewhere, don't you think?
