Fireplaces must have a mantle (stone or rustic wood) and a raised hearth/ bench. Woodburning for living room (easy to convert to gas later), woodburning for outside, and gas for bedroom. I do not like tv's mounted over the fireplace.
wouldn't mind a taller hearth bench
clean lined and pretty for a shorter ceiling version (might prefer mantle height only)
love the european country look of it
lovely mantle and grate
hearth could be taller (if ceiling is taller)
hearth should be width of fireplace. otherwise, perfection.
like this for bedroom
hearth could be deeper. love the stone, the mantle, the ceiling.
like this more modern take on a rustic stone look
would work indoors as well
like the look of the stone (but not the weird part above the soffit). Mantle height and with a hearth would work for bedroom.
Perfect for an interior chimney
kind of like the long, narrow gas fireplace look for a bedroom/ sitting area
perfect for an interior chimney, double sided to kitchen/ dining and living areas. Would want a wood storage cubby built into one side of it.
If patio is down-slope
If there's a screened in porch- but needs a higher hearth/ bench
lovely as-is for bedroom
like the stone, but mantle seems a little boxy
lovely stone, mantle, and ceilings. Would like taller hearth, but that might throw off proportions. Ok the stone isn't ceiling height.
love everything about this one
for an interior chimney. stairs need carpeting, though.
the mantle looks weird
I like just about everything to do with this room
needs a taller hearth, and I think I'd like stacked stone rather than rounded
great for bedroom
seems too big for this room, but I like the style/ design of it.
really pretty. I don't like the shelving unit next to it though.
hearth should extend to edge of fireplace
like the double-sided option
curved-front hearth is beautiful
really like the wood storage under the hearth
