Love the "flowy" curtains, evocative of a beautiful, lazy, ethereal day!

Beautiful deep arches, floors in monochromatic tones on the diagonal

The curtained terrace is nice, but what strikes me as interesting in this photo is the removable top for the fire pit, a clever idea.

The screen over the trellis ceiling: What a great way to keep the leaves out!
BUT! The patio furniture ruins the whole appearance of the terrace, especially after the greet care and thought that went into the planning and execution of this space. A very very common mistake by homeowners...not leaving enough in the budget to properly furnish the outdoor spaces. Shameful!

Love the grass border on the inset terrace! The terrace seems to float!

Overdone!
Too much of the same stone, too much of the same orange-y color:
A great example of too much of anything is,...well...too much!
Mix the stone colors, shapes, and bring in some other surfaces

Great ceiling, clean lines of the architecture, lets the view be the focus

An interesting way to enclose a porch, which is deliberate and straight forward...don't try to make it look like it wasn't a porch at one time.

Three things here:
1. Nice mix of materials.
2. Patio Furniture: Using different chairs with the table or a different table with the chairs would have made this space infinitely more interesting.
3. Add fabric seats cushions, and slipcovers over the chair backs made with outdoor Sunbrella fabric, which would act to soften the whole environment.
Sunbrella fabrics can be zipped off and washed, even bleached (but air dry only, because they cannot be put in a hot dryer!)

Bocce Ball courts...they're hotter than ever and not expensive to build.

Too much of the same thing...again! Too much stone, too much of the same boring fabric.
With so many great outdoor Sunbrella fabrics, including great colors, textures and patterns, you no longer have to do boring and uninteresting solid color canvas fabrics!

The fountain tiles are a great pop of color! And, I love the terrace material in the foreground, pebbles and bricks in an interesting pattern...very old world!

Not again!
Boring outdoor fabrics when so many great new outdoor fabrics are available. I mean come on...solid canvas with basic stripes?
And this patio furniture...really? Look at the money spent on the electronics in the adjacent room!
Come on people lets get with it on the outdoor furniture and fabrics...there is no excuse for this!
