Patterns to love
Pattern used well - stripes, paisley, damask - I love them all and they can make a plain room sing.
Something to keep in mind when mixing patterns is to vary the scale and the shape (straight stripe vs curvy floral). The scale of the stripes could be quite wide and contrasted against a small, viney floral. The reverse works well too: a large overscale floral paired with a narrow ticking stripe.
If you need help figuring out how to mix patterns, check our blog for tips, or write with a specific question.

This overscale damask makes a dramatic statement in this black and white room.
