Houzz is the new way to design your home.
While pavers come in many shapes and sizes, I want a water permeable paver that will allow grass, creeping sage or other plants to coexist within the driveway. I want to reduce runoff, add color (green) to an otherwise drab and often industrialized part of my home’s outdoor environment. Biggest concern is the effect on grasses of consistent parking and snow removal in winter. Also, how will driveway blend with walkway up to mudroom and seque to rear patio? Thought right now is to dig two trenchs equal to width of car wheelbase. Fill appropriately, then top with concrete and finish at grade with 1.5” granite reclaimed from countertops. Feel like this could lead pleasingly to rear patio. Then surround that with grass filled permeable pavers (right up to steps?)
