The Entry Way
I am creative. Anyone who is creative knows that there is quite a bit of clutter involved in it. In my workroom/studio is where it stays though. It is a constant battle but I prefer clean surfaces to display a rare find or beautiful artwork of glass or porcelain. I like the furniture to have simple elegant lines so that they allow the arts to show. But it all depends about where we live doesn't it? I've lived in a converted forge, a converted green house, in a modern apartment, in a craftsman home, in a contemporary beach house, in a converted bus. And our age is also a deciding factor. When I was 20-40 I had children so my style was decided by what I could afford to accommodate the clutter that comes with children. My forties were heavily influenced by Japan. With the exception of the woven rush seats those chairs at the table are exactly like the new chair I purchased for the entry way. I am still wondering if I should try this.
