Love the heavy wood and lightness of glass housing rich burgundy's. Gives the dining area depth and character. An inviting space.
I love the way the character of the stone is allowed come through and is not too sculptured and done. It represents a true mountain face.
I love the simplicity and a single tree always signifies 'the tree of life'. A calm natural space. This courtyard sort of frames the tree. Gives it a stage but keeps it elegant and simple. Nature at it's best.
clean lines and would work well from age 7 to 15. It will transition my son from a young boy into a young man. Love the color of the wood. A sort of dull grey that seems to not make the room look too heavy. Love it.
Inspires me to work - I am lured to this space and want to work more!
Would like to go with an element of copper in roofing - it ages and goes green and seems to look alive as it changes in temperatures and seasons. It grows old gracefully and improves with age. Always comforting! It is very expensive and in South Africa you would wake to find your roof gone so this can only be applied to properties in secure estates.
This is lovely but I wonder if it is noisy in heavy rains? I want a product that is environmentally sound and that fits a contemporary build but it must have some organic soul. As Cape Town has harsh rainy winters, I don't want to lie awake at night pretending to find rain drops romantic. It is for a night or two .... having spent nearly 5 years prior to this living in Nairobi, Kenya with an old tin roofed house - rain no longer sounds romantic to me night after night during the rainy season. It sounds like a machine gun!! Any ideas?
Just love this photo. Heaven and Earth. x
The idea of the light flowing these two functional zones is attractive. I like the way the stairs are separate but don't seem boxed in. I also like the play of textures. Glass, wood, light, metal sheeting, the lines etc. Nice.
My 10 year old and 7 year old would potentially shower and bath with ease. My son often has to be lured into good personal hygiene. What is it about boys?!
As I'm based in South Africa and try and support local products as much as possible, I am just thrilled and excited that this is in Johannesburg and therefore on my doorstep. Felt stones - love it, got to have it. Well done Ronel Jordaan for producing creative work and empowering other women :)
Lovely but is in functional for children. I like the tactile experience this roof terrace offers. Love the large swing door bringing the inside out and the outside in!
1930's Hollywood in 2012 - not sure that makes sense but it how it feels. Always wanted a glam bathroom but one that felt natural. This gets that for me.
Would these work in a very windy area? Do they lock into place? The are sort of lined up and the symmetry is pleasing. They are almost beckoning one to follow the doors line and sample the outdoors.
Normally pods incorporate indoor areas, it is nice to see a pod like design cradling the outdoors. Nice.
Garden shed and children's play room .... endless. Man den. My space. Everybody loves a secret room that is not part of the main house.
like this and will fit in my space. Love the cool blue color and a nice change from the now favored black or very dark pool. Back to the old days of pool parties with a modern twist. Yah!
nice lines and modern design with warmth. This is unusual, often contemporary can be too austere. This is just lovely.
still love this so much
