gather info and photos on cabinets
imagining a full height wood wrap around through the doorway like this. specifically carries the elements of one room to the next.
the hall next to the kitchen with the full height wood wrapped around. it reminds me of mid century, but better
in this shot you ca see the wrap around from the kitchen and the hall & stair that bring it together. note the wood grain on the cabinet/ paneling vert. while stair is strong horizontal
shorter and narrower wood wrap around that ties spaces together but much less imposing. good for my small space
l shaped island? free standing wall oven love the legs. not enough counter space next to stove.
very practical shallow shelves in shallow cabinets. floating. custom sized doors. inside?
and not an allergy issue (is not allergic to linoleum specifically)
a built in countertop microwave. notice little drawer under.
most of all the lights
the wood continues in next room. floating display shelves tiny track (?) lighting on beams
at least they aren't dumping their stuff next to the sink or stove. gotta have a landing place somewhere.
the blue from kitchen to seating to entertainment
the sleek storage on the left. an idea that raised storage does not have to be oppressive (imagine the wood on the fireplace wall as storage)
the freestanding storage on the left with asymmetrical doors.
the storage on the right
you loose any counter pace but the floor to ceiling cabinets are not as oppressive as uppers and lowers because for me the uppers in a kitchen loom over you but a wall of cabinets does not. assuming the room is big enough.
i was right these are inset not over lays. that's the way i remember cabinets as a kid.
no uppers, just a few open shelves, simple barstools. ok maybe there are uppers, but it's super sleek
narrow lower cabinets below the window.
the arrangement of the bar and cabinet behind is liberating compared to the wet bars of the 80s that trap you in like a bartender. the arrangement is much more casual.
the diagonal divider looks very useful
i like the way the kickboard reflects the cube foot. i don't like the three panels on the end, i'd want one or cabinets or shelves. it's just more to clean.
Diamond Trash & Recycling Base Cabinet Pullout
yeah 4 containers. also slab
well organized. great wood
the shorter pull out pantry
end up with no deep stacking in a deep space
his kinda pull out you get narrow results in a deep space. no layering so nothing to forget
love the wood
oven heights right & keeping the cabinet at that level permtis openess. place for sourdough
this would work well for large ball jars w/ grains ec
he back shelves move forward when you open the door. looks like it has great visibility & access.
2 issues 1 is how this wold work on the southern wall, really tie things together in terms of an open floating cabinet w/ same materials tie rooms into one. 2 the sink would work directly accors as the "2d" sink
reversed s curve. cabinets are squared & look fine. notice the end, the sink
the angle of the end counter expands the kitchen into next two rooms. notice folding window
can see the kitchen on right
narrow shelf on window. take ours from tall window to regular window
bringing counter around an outside corner
the wood & stained glass are awesome
the L shaped wall looks less massive from here
