This kind of open but divided living room/library could work next to our dining room. Would want short wall of bookcases to the left, another set on wall that now has a window. Remove bookcases from long wall & put in a large window high enough off the floor to accommodate a sofa. Would want dividers to be strong enough to hold 20 gallon fish tanks. Good space for Bose and CD collection.
For the dining room, I could easily live with built in buffet space and storage like this instead of using my refrectory table for the buffet. If the storage had pull out shelves that could hold china, crystal & serving pieces and the drawers could hold silverware, napkins & placemats, I would not need a walk-in china room like the previous picture.
Ironing Board and spiral rack in corner
deck as outdoor room
Like everything, elevated dining space overlooking small garden.
small growing beds, porch, chairs, table, grass in background all combine to make a relaxing comfortable appearing space
gorgeous - - love the look and feel
mixing plants with collectibles - - great look
open shelves under upper cabinets. . . . .office & laundry room
Like the 2 sofas, 2 stuffed chairs & end table arrangement for our family room
Drawer for CD's/DVD's as compared to shelves
for walk-in closet
room for one of these in laundry room
walkway between houses
bookshelves on one end of the island
The whole thing really appeals to me. . . . paint color against white moldings and ceiling; shelves under windows and concept of reading or conversation bay.
the idea of the window framing nature like a beautiful picture - -Dining Room
flower beds
dwarf maple tree and heucherias for red brown foilage
love swing but not asian top
TV placed at eye level when seated, not over a fireplace
Any heavy object mounted to the wall should have wood blocking installed inside the wall to attach the heavy object (e.g.TV) to.
If a shelving unit is going to be built around the TV, leave extra space around the TV for future upgrades (larger screens).
double screen doors
Wide flower bed of perennials surrounding the front of the house
like the look of the pots around the bird house, the outdoor clock, and the big rockers. . . . . .warm and welcoming
shoebag for small toiletries
like rack for toilet paper and magazines
niche for laundry sorter in bathroom or walk in closet
I like the dark color on the wall around the bay of windows in contrast to a much lighter shade on the rest of the walls.
Blue-Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium bellum) has a low water requirement, matures to 8-10 feet, full to partial sun.
love the paint colors for home's exterior
I like wall niches in various places throughout the house.
I like the pony wall near the commode.
I like the idea of a shower niche, but it doesn't need to be this big. . . . . . . . .. .one a third of this size from right to left would be enough.
Like the grey and charcoal and white colors in this room, but I would want the red to be more soft brick red rather than bold fire engine red.
looks like fun
I like this very much, just make windows bigger. I would like open shelving instead of upper cabinets and room on the opposite wall for a spare refrigerator. a laundry sorter, pull down ironing board and a small rack to hang clothes on that have just come out of the dryer or just been ironed.
Like the look of shutters in the bathroom and their ability to let the moisture out "modestly".
Panasonic's Whisper series is a quiet, effective exhaust fan for the bathroom which detects both motion and humidity, automatically turning on when someone enters or leaves the room or when high humidity is sensed.
like the simple storage that is large enough to accommodate shoes and purses and backpacks. Also like coat rack or hooks and bench but would want the bench to be a little more substantial and higher.
Smoke Tree (Cotinus coggygria cultivars) is a great tree.
Purple sand cherry Tree
like the open shelving in the butler's pantry as compared to cabinet doors. This could be done in a niche in the dining room rather than a pantry.
Pantries. Is there a single day when you don’t open the pantry for something? Why not give the walls some style of their own? There’s a subtle emotional reaction as well — a decorated pantry appears neater and cleaner.
like the TV on the side rather than up high and the built in cabinets
Think about the faucet over the cooktop. Like the way it will lay flat against the wall when not in use.
white cupboards with taupe walls; white against hardwood floors; long kitchen with an island
