Things That Bug Me
Photo
A bit too busy with all the different patterns (esp the wall - ugh!) but I like the neutral + pops of color. Don't care for how the sofa and window seats are at such different heights. I'd have brought the window ledge down some.

This room feels overbalanced and uneven. I'd hate sitting on that low sofa feeling those shelves tower over me.

NO MIXED CHAIRS - Which unfortunate guest is going to get stuck sitting on that skinny spindly little thing in the middle? "Mine's way more comfy than yours."

Too much miscellany is distracting. The wall fights with the overhead timbers... & large lights... & cushions. No place for the eye to rest, no focal point.

The way that corner of the dining shelf pokes out. I'd be permanently bruised.

Nopes Nopes Nopes - all that fancy in the greasiest, splatteriest space in the house. Totally impractical for people who really cook & eat.

Chopping one leg off that table extension. Arrgh.

how the island is off-centered from the opposite wall, as is the window, and what's with the bench jutting out from the left? this would make me nuts!

So much not a fan of that tile, and the mis-matched grain on the drawer fronts would drive me batty. Gives an optical illusion of the pulls being just so slightly "off." I don't like how the vertical lines in the glass reflect poorly. The entirety feels off-kilter, fighting with itself.

Like the hex tiles, but not a fan of the random color changes. This stresses me out.

This backsplash. The tiles are not small enough to pull off this randomness. Just looks like somebody got lazy. They should be mixed regularly, laid in a graphic design, or done in an ombre effect.

Dear God those shelves.

Too busy, visually distracting, mish-mash of materials

No built in bunks - impossible to make / change. What a pain.

feels like being in a hole. Not a fan of the high windows.

Is this vanity chopped off? Or is it that it's hidden behind the door? Annoys me either way

Off scale... dormers too small, too deliberately symmetrical, and then not.
