Guest Picks: Take A Seat
Brooke Chamblee Interiors
Friends and clients often ask where to shop for seating. Here are a few of my favorites — whether it's a dining chair, bench for an entry, barstool for your kitchen or just used as an accent piece. Seating options run the gamut and can add so much interest to a space. — Brooke from Blueprint Bliss
Natural Linen Coverall Arm Chair - $1,299
This linen covered chair just screams for you to come snuggle up with a good book and cup of coffee. A pair would be great in a living room flanking a big sofa.
Colonial Caning Bench, Hand-Rubbed Brown
The caning detail on this bench is amazing. I would love to use this in an entryway or possibly on the side of a dining table!
Grable Chaise Lounge
It's not that often that you find room for a chaise in a bedroom, but if you have room for one, then buy one. This one from Gabby is so simple and pretty.
Nailhead Dining Chair-Arms
I want to use a pair of these at my house or on a project. They would look great in a study or placed at the end of a grand dining table!
Cosmopolitan Chair, Metal
This is definitely a statement piece. It's not something that you see every day and would look good placed almost anywhere. I also love the metal — a different contrast from the usual wood frame one would see.
Louis XVI End Chair, Royal Blue - $389
A traditional Louis XVI chair upholstered in a bright blue: doesn't get much better than that! These have me rethinking my plans for my dining room.
Chelsea Bench Set, Gold/ Brown Velvet
These are No. 1 on my wish list right now. I'd love to use the long bench at the end of my bed and use the two smaller benches under a console in my foyer. I love the lines and especially the velvet seats!
French Modernist Armchair - $1,199
Ah, how neat is this French Modernist chair? I could see a pair of these on a sun porch. Definitely a conversation starter!
Boomerang Bar Stool
This is a stool I've had my eye on for my own house. I love how unique it is!
Abacus Relax Chair, Distressed Brown
This Abacus chair has been on my wish list for a long time. I would love to use a pair in my living room next to my fireplace. It would even look great to change the plain fabric to a fun print!
I've had my eye on these lattice back chairs for awhile. They would look great placed at a round skirted dining table!
Scarsdale Black Square Dining Chair, Set of Two
White lacquer with black faux croc upholstery? Oh my gosh. I think these would jazz up a traditional dining room in the most fantastic way. Step out of the box!
You can never have too many benches — kind of like baskets. They are so practical and have so many uses. Put one in a foyer or inside your back door as your catch-all. Or, even place it at the end of your bed.
Frederick Counter Stool
I'm still liking the use of metal. It brings in that industrial look to a space. I love the lines on this stool by Gabby.
This is a great chair to use if you walk into a room and can view it from behind. The detail is amazing and it's a great take on the wingback shape!
Ladder Chair, Hand-Rubbed Black
I adore the sleek look of this traditional ladder back chair. A set of these would look great grouped around a round breakfast table.
Wishbone Chair - $125.95
I've seen these wishbone chairs used here and there and I'm considering them for a spot in my house. I love the seat and the curved back.
X Side Stool, Gold/Brown Velvet
Worlds Away always has a great selection of gold-finished furniture and this ranks high on my list. I love the sleekness of the X design.
Wicker-Like Dining Chair - $299
I used these recently on a project and they looked great. I put them around a long, rectangular pine dining table. I love the texture they added to the space.
