So you're looking for a quick update for the front of your house. Have you considered something as simple as revamping your address numbers? It is quite possible that the size and placement of your current setup isn't as great as it could be. Perhaps the numbers would be more visible in a different place, or maybe you just need something that fits the style of your home a little better. This address is displayed in a unique way and goes well with the overall symmetry of the facade. Standing on edge over the entry, it certainly doesn't go unnoticed. Although many homes would not be able to pull this look off (my house would have numbers in the rain gutter), it does help you think outside the box.
Closer to the road, something like this is a good option for people who have large front yards. The worn plaque gives a sense of comfort and is a nice alternative to the shiny chrome numbers in some of these photos.

Hung above the stairs, this is an uncommon but fun way to display an address.

| I think it's safe to say that this is the easiest house on the block for a delivery person to find! Given that house numbers are intended to be seen from the road, this is approach works quite well and would look great in a yard located on a busy street. |

Although this particular address would be impossible to see from the street, it does add a bit of charm to the entryway.

Spelling out an address is a clever alternative to typical house numbers and works well for addresses only 1 or 2 digits long. The elongated text the extra characters offer goes well with the entrance and works with the grand feeling of this house.

This white plaque is a nice contrast to the sage green siding. By using a color that stands out against the background, it is easy to spot the house number on this dimly lit porch.

I am not only thinking of updating our house numbers, I'm going to do it! The modern bungalow we'll move to this year has ugly blue plastic stick numbers and we'll replace them with DWR's Richard Neutra numbers. Oddly, you can't buy them in Europe. As shipping from the U.S. is very expensive, I'll have them shipped to a vacation home in Florida where we're going to stay at the end of the year. Some planning goes into those house numbers, but they are so sexy, I need to have them. :)
