Guest Picks: A Pale Color Palette to Quiet the Senses
Set a soothing tone with neutral colors and inspiring artwork for a room that's a real retreat
In the buzzing, active world we live in, a little quieting goes a long way. I am finding myself drawn to pale colors these days, and I've selected a few goodies that I feel nurture the sense of calm we all crave at the end of a long and busy day. In the ideal pale interior, I would put together calming hues, soft textures and interesting art. Surround yourself with unusual pieces and you'll see pale does not have to mean bland pastels and girlish bedrooms. — Barbara from Elza B Design

olldbobbi I love the paler versions of almost any color. Bright, bold colors are great, too, just not for me. I find dusty pastels to be very calming and soothing.

passionplenty I love white furniture, with accent pieces in pops of color; when I grow bored of the space, I simply change my throw pillows, vases, rugs, etc. to a new exciting color combination, and it feels like a whole new room!
