To me, this is the ideal way to add a hot tub to your home. You create your own little spa room where you can get away from everything else in the home and just relax. It's designed for one person and one person only. The natural furnishing and the low lighting really make this a great place for meditation and relaxation.
You can still get that same sanctuary effect even if you have to go the more traditional route of adding a hot tub tub to an existing bathroom. The candles, plants and wood paneling here all create a terrific place for sinking into a whirlpool tub and letting your cares melt away.
A more modern bathroom can also be a nice place to get away if it has a hot tub tub installed in it. What I like here is that you have a shower for every day use which means that you can use the hot tub only for special occasions when you really need to relax. The fresh plant life and otherwise minimalist design here makes for a hot tub room that seems easy to breathe in.
This is a similar set-up but there are a few subtle differences that create a different mood in this bathroom. The benches inside and outside of the shower make this feel a bit more like a day spa. If you want the entire bathroom to be a retreat area (rather than just having the beautiful benefit of a great hot tub) then this type of simple design might be the right choice for you.
Here is another minimalist design except that the hot tub is in a more multi-functional space. There's a bed and there's an area for lounging here so the hot tub is just an addition to the rest of the room. My favorite part here is the fireplace that is right next to it. A good book, a fire in the fireplace and a half hour in the hot tub sounds like a terrific way to wrap up the night to get ready for bed!
Not everybody wants to relax inside of a minimally designed space. Some people find it more relaxing to lounge around in opulence. The colored tiles around the hot tub, the colored marble of the sinks and the brightness of the additional accessories here all combine together to make this a great room for someone whose idea of relaxation is mingled with the idea of self-indulgence.
Here is another example of a more opulent bathroom jacuzi. The marble and tile here are really what make this room special. There's also the grand fireplace which I think really adds to the room. If you're going to use a fireplace then a more opulent room design may be the way to go.
Of course, the outdoor hot tub is also another choice. It's often easier to add a hot tub and pool to the yard than to renovate a bathroom to be suitable for a hot tub. Here we see a traditional pool design with an adjacent, raised hot tub. Since this yard has a terrific view, the outdoor hot tub is really a great choice here.
Here is another example of how a hot tub can be added along with a pool to create a haven in the yard. The difference here is in the choice of landscaping and outdoor furniture. By selecting those properly, you can create the type of setting that makes you feel relaxed.
