When thinking about decorating your home, I'll bet you rarely turn to the gym for inspiration. But for storage options, good old gym lockers are hard to beat.

i'd love to see a cool use of peninsula gym lockers. i have a bunch of them and can't decide how to use them since they don't back up to a wall. right now they just divide the two bays in my garage and are about 8' tall.

I had the opportunity to haul away a massive purple peninsula locker set, for free!, but just decided they were too big and too hard to move. Doesn't take away from really liking the look - I don't think I've ever added so many photos from one ideabook into my files!

I got lucky (and a little cheeky) and asked for some lockers when my old work place was converting the unused locker room. They were supposed to be thrown out so why not ask if I could take some home. I have mounted them on the wall and added a fluorescent light fixture above and below the lockers. Even though the lockers take up and entire wall they don't seem overwhelming because of the free space below.
