For just a moment close your eyes and transport yourself to a tropical locale. Use your imagination and inhale the ocean air, dine on the catch of the day, and sip your favorite beachside beverage — the one with a little umbrella adorning the glass.
I often recall experiences like that when I see homes with tropical decor. But rooms don't have to be decked out like the set of Gilligan's Island for my mind to wander. All it takes is just a few key elements to prompt such a daydream. I invite you take a break from your daily routine and escape with me to the tropics. If perhaps you live in such a climate, this ideabook will remind you of your good fortune.

| What is better than having a room with sight lines extending to the ocean? The answer would be having a room that opens to a balcony allowing you to soak the atmosphere with your five senses.
