Back porch and sunroom

This is the dream!

Stone sitting wall; wood would be an extension of dinning room
Q

Looks like the scale of our project, with a 2nd floor balcony
Q

Would skylights above each of the french doors and the kitchen windows provide light indoors?
Q

Not exactly a sun room, but I like the 'outdoor room' complete with fireplace.
Q

A 'sun room' addition built off of the near the kitchen - only we would need glass roof.

In case we decide to keep the maple tree...

Built in over head heaters is a must.
Q

Note the second story balcony just above the covered porch
Q

I like the fireplace adjacent to the house - I can see this over the current concrete slap, next to the Kitchen
Q

An unusual design - a semi circle would add design interest to our very linear back profile.
Q

I like how close the pool is to the edge of the house but doesn't feel cramped. Can we reface the back with stone, at least on the first floor?
Q
Photo
This seems like exactly the scale of our house if we were to add the porch
Q

Stone/brick floor instead of wood. I also like the painted ceiling.

Potential for sun room off the kitchen.
Q

We like the gravel surface outside of the sunroom.
Q

The scale of this sun room seems about right. Also, it seems like it is just off of the kitchen, which we would like, too.
Q

Can this work in Seattle weather? Also, the way the stone comes into the house is great.
Q

I like how details in the ceiling and the support columns - they seem to echo the dining room wainscoting and coffered ceiling. Would incorporating these kinds of details extend the dining room outdoors.
Q
Photo
Like the double columns and scale - seems intimate. The shutters are nice, too.
Q

Like how the pool runs into an extended covered porch. Presumably, a porch like this would extend from the left of the kitchen outward, and the pool would be directly outside of the dining room.

If we decide on a water feature instead of a pool outside of the dining room, this seems to convey a porch/water feature concept. I believe these are the pavers we used in the front terrace.
This is the dream!
