I love the outbuilding for the MCM home. It was constructed in 2011 I also like the horizontal fence for the back garden.
For the deck or patio: Jorge Pensi's collection of café and dining tables are quickly becoming the standard for outdoor cafés in Europe. Pensi created this versatile design in 1988 to coordinate with his Toledo Stacking Chair. Made with recyclable materials, the "disks" style has a stainless steel tabletop patterned with sanded discs.
For the deck or patio: Completely recyclable, the Toldeo Chair (1986) by Jorge Pensi brings rugged strength and streamlined aesthetics to outdoor furnishings. This contract-quality chair is crafted out of thermo-treated polished aluminum, a material that stays cool to the touch even in hot climates. The comfortable seat echoes the scale more typically found in dining chairs for indoor use and is made out of durable cast aluminum. Stackable up to four high for compact storage, the Toledo Chair is designed to coordinate with the Pensi Table, also by Jorge Pensi. This collection has been honored with the 1990 Design Center Stuttgard Award; 1988 "Delta Plate" award of ADI FAD; and Sidi Selection, first place, in 1988. The underside of the seat is stamped with the names Jorge Pensi and Knoll. Manufactured by Amat-3 for Knoll® according to the exacting specifications of the designer.
For the deck: Designed by Greg Benson and Jeff Taly for Loll Designs The inspiration for the Cabrio Lounge Chair (2009) came from a desire to strip away excess and greatly simplify the overflared Adirondack chairs that are found in the market today. Designers Greg Benson and Jeff Tally point out how the Cabrio’s single-plank back and wide arms are a nod toward the Westport Chair, which was the inspiration for and predates the Adirondack. With a seat that’s low to the ground and generously angled, Cabrio is built for casual lounging and enjoying the outdoors. The material is 100% recycled plastic reclaimed from used milk jugs, but has the look and feel of virgin material and can be recycled again if necessary.
House Numbers and entry wall: Dion Neutra to produce the Neutra House Numbers true to the 1930s originals in exacting detail. His father, architect Richard Neutra, specified these numbers for use on the mid-century buildings he designed.
I love the exterior fire place and concrete patio.
I love this entryway.

for the front porch, master suite balcony and back deck. www.yliving.com
terrace and pool
If we do a redesign on the entryway, make staggered stepping stones to the right of the carport and continue the horizontal cedar used for the shed and privacy fence.
I covet having a sauna.
Path for either or both sides of the house.
Great idea for outdoor shower.
The variety of the terraces are a good model for what might be done off the back, only larger and keeping the trees.
Outside kitchen ideas
Have a bocce ball terrace in the front or back garden.
Terraced gardens are in the plans for our 1 acre treed lot.
The lights on the stairs, set randomly, adds interest to utility.
For the refocused front entry: add a courtyard to the right of the carport.
Add a staircase to off of our balcony, facing the woods, to a sauna, hot tub or pool off one of the terraces. Again, pure flight of fancy here, but a girl can daydream!
This pool, surround, garden and pool house was done by FULCRUM Structural Engineering, in San Francisco. It looks like a nice retreat.
FULCRUM Structural Engineering did this project, and I like the stairs down to the patio. Add a wall, to create a courtyard, and that's the front of our house.
